Article 45 of the Traffic Regulations was amended, and put into effect on June 15, 2006. Motorcycles that have been manufactured for more than five years shall apply for unscheduled inspection for transfer of ownership.

Billing of 2006 Vehicle Fuel Fee for vehicles has been announced. Vehicle owners are advised to pay the fee as scheduled for avoidance of punishment.
- Vehicle owners who receive payment notice of Vehicle Fuel Fee for 2006 please pay the fee at all financial institutions (excluding the Post Office), the public treasury services counter of all motor vehicles offices (stations) or pay through telephone, Internet transfer, etc. between July 1 and July 31, 2006.
- Those who are obliged to pay the fee but have not received the payment notice please apply for re-issuance of notice at the Motor Vehicles Office (Station) where the vehicle is registered or at any nearby motor vehicles office. If the vehicle is no longer in use or has been lost, please consult the nearby motor vehicles office for suspension, revocation or cancellation procedures. Vehicle Fuel Fee is calculated up to the date prior to suspension, revocation or cancellation registration. For lost vehicles, the fee is calculated up to the date prior to the certified date of loss as per the Police's certificate.
- For vehicle owners not paying the Vehicle Fuel Fee as stipulated, the highways authority shall notify them of payment within a specified period pursuant to Article 75 of Highway Act. Those who fail to pay within the specified period are liable to a fine of NT$300 to NT$3000, and change registration or inspection of the vehicle will not be entertained.

The Motor Vehicles Office should revoke the professional driving license and ban the driver from applying for the driving license test registration within 4 years while the driver is operating tour bus and the driving behavior is against the Article 35 about the limit on alcohol content in the Traffic Penalty Rules .

On a two-way expressway, the middle two ways (divided using a double yellow line) are for overtaking.
